Just going through all my photos from my trip to Botswana and Namibia. Nice to see birds that you wouldn't see in the UK like the african jacana, giant kingfisher and various bee eaters, but I also enjoyed seeing a few familiar ones in better light such as the grey heron and common sandpiper.

I saw a beautiful bullfinch outside my window this morning, saw it a couple of weeks ago also, probably with his mate then but she didn't seem to be around today.

Lots of the moorland usuals on today's run. Stonechats into double figures, plenty of skylarks, the most mipits I've seen for ages, crows, the odd grouse and a few curlew flybys. Heard a raven but couldn't get eyes-on. It almost felt like spring :-)
