Going to Mull next weekend. Can't wait. Hoping for an eagle! Ronnie, head of Loch na Keal is a good place to start. There is a crag on the south side that is a well known Golden nest site and White Tailed are often found perching in the conifers on the North side. Plus the Loch and shore are good for lots of other stuff including Otters. It's a very popular spot with GNDs as they head north but you're a bit early for them. Parking is easy on both sides and either offers good views of both likely Eagle spots.
"Loch na Keal" keeps coming up in books and facebook posts. I'm going to have to plan a full day where we slowly drive round that loch, stopping in various places for an hour or so at a time and go for walks.

I can't comment on birds, but when I went to Mull (years ago), Staffa for Fingals Cave and Iona were fantastic trips.

One very definite chiffchaff on today’s run. Probably more but that one call was very distinct.

I'm still in Austria. Lots of alpine swifts swooping about for a couple of weeks now, possibly house martins as well. I saw a squirrel a few days ago on the first day of Spring, black and more like a red squirrel but even bigger than a grey.
I was out walking and saw what I think was a red kite. Of course it swooped across to the trees before I could get my phone out.

Still just the one blackcap for me, despite walking just now in known blackcap haunts. Odd. Maybe the one I heard the other day overwintered here?

Chiffs and Blackcaps widespread and singing well here, in my neck of the woods in south east Wales. Great birding there in Austria alpenrose, I saw that an Alpine Swift was over Portland Bird Observatory a couple of days ago .
