We were going to go to Norfolk tomorrow to try and see the bee eaters, but they have moved on apparently and the RSPB has closed the viewing site today

A juv wheatear this morning under Malham Cove. Incredible to think the bird was weeks old and would soon be about to undertake a serious migration

Swifts were screaming over mum’s bit of South Lincs today, think they had a successful breeding year as there seemed to be more than last year

First redstart and whitethroat of the year while heading around Gowbarrow at the weekend. Hundreds of swallows too, all through the race. Many, many bats overnight along with a lot of tawnies calling.
