Red Squirrel
All in the same small space, by the feeder and on the reedy side of the river.
Blue tits.
Great tit, singing a song.
Female blackbird.
Dunnock.
Robin.
Wrens.
Moorhen.
Pair of mallards.
All that was missing was the flock of roughly 8 resident LTTs.

Mistle Thrush singing on my run this morning as well DT. Must have been pleased to see the sun 😀

Just had another visit from my Goldcrest. Lovely to be able to sit at the table and watch it so close up.

Another unexpected one today, a female sparrowhawk over my back lane. Quite densely built up here but a few treed avenues, parklets and a park to use as stepping stones from the countryside. Plenty of prey if she can catch them - one got a pigeon in my backyard once, however this was years ago so won't be the same one.

Nice spots Red :-) And wow ff - goldcrest is definitely on my 'would love to see' list this year.

Juvenile dunnock in its first winter plumage was first to the food in the garden this morning (thanks Collins Bird guide). Then the usual crew of blackbird, starlings, sparrows and magpie throughout the day.

On my lunchtime walk I saw, bluetits, long tailed tits, kingfisher, moorhen and water rail - all in the space of an hour! Some pics in my blog.

Nice pictures Scribbler. Getting a shot of a Water Rail is superb, so often you just hear their squeals from the depths of a reedbed.

Not seen a goldcrest for a while but I remember one year when it was snowy here in the city. I saw 2 pied wagtails on the ground looking for food (not unusual when it's been snowing) and as I was approaching a coffee shop; a goldcrest landed on the shop's awning!

You might not have seen a Goldcrest Scribbler ....I get them in my garden and can reckon on at least hearing one every day when I run... but I've not seen or heard a Water Rail for thirty years. Brilliant to be able to photograph one.
Group of five Siskins this morning.

Scribbler i saw on Instagram this morning that there are only 1000 pairs of Rails in the U.K. so to even hear let alone photograph one so clearly is really quite uncommon. Well done on a beautiful photo.

Took the ‘nockulars out today for a wander.

Big flock of Siskin, couple of stunning redwing, a kestrel and a Jay the highlights - lots of usuals too. Plus a drumming GSW earlier as well. And parakeets.
