Kingfisher jealousy, one is being spotted regularly within 100 yds of where I work. Keep heading out to the ponds at every opportunity, no joy yet.

No joy today either, but did get the first dipper of the week so that'll do.
Saw absolutely nothing on the moor, including the path most of the time, as it was proper pea soup. Lots of tawnies hooting and squeaking on the way down.

Kingfishers are awesome! Way to go Em! I saw a starling murmuration last night in Belfast. The lights took ages to change so I had a great view 😊

Heinzster, where was this? Bridge over the Lagan is a well-known place for them.

J2R, that's it, I was coming down the Castlereagh Rd, turning into Short Strand. They are amazing. I thought there was a bird of prey about to join the fun, it turned out to be a seagull 😅

Highlight of a very murky run in the Peak District was flushing a Woodcock by nearly standing on it. Almost certainly the nearest I've ever been to one.

Two blue tits seen on our garden fence today :-). The first birds we’ve seen nearby. The dried mealworms we put out seem to be being eaten by slugs.
