We were on a council car park, so didn't see any. The offices are right next to woodland, so definitely a possibility.

Yesterday I found another Ringtail in the Cheviots or given Ihat was very little distance from Wednesday's sighting probably the same one again. The interesting thing about this encounter was that I rounded the end of a wood above a valley to find several Buzzards, the Ringtail and a Peregrine all in my eye line. I never did work out what had attracted then all?
Today I spent most of the morning on Budle Bay by Bamburgh watching a variety of waders (including Barwit and Grey Plover), ducks and geese. Very much a classic autumn/winter setting.

Just seen a reliable record of a Swift that was sighted passing through here 2 days ago. A full 4 weeks later than the previous latest sighting!

J2R, I can imagine the kingfisher writing a blog along the lines of 'You'll never guess what I saw in the river today.' Fantasic way to see one!
