Two jackdaws attacking a grey heron by the canal this afternoon, and I mean *really* attacking, not just bothering it - the noise was incredible! Two separate gosling families too, and higher up, good close-up views of wheatears and a buzzard looking glorious in the sunshine No swifts |

I thought parakeet, um, but I'd be surprised to see feral parakeets this far north. I'm going to assume "running-induced hallucinations" until I have a positive identification to report.
