Three Turnstones yesterday on the Res, a new species on my home patch for me. Good close up views as they worked their way along the waters edge. Such great colouring. Nice views of a Whitethroat too and Reed, Willow, Blackcap and Chiffchaff all calling.

Late evening trip to our local reserve tonight. At least 3 different cuckoos calling and we saw one in flight.

I did see a small parrot sitting by the side of the motorway once. Probably about a mile from Belfast zoo, but may have been from a private home. It did make me do a double take!
