[I'm surprised he didn't put his Fetch vest on it and post it on the Fetch t-shirts on tour thread. :) ]

I just saw something odd, a blackbird in the garden attacking a frog. The bird was being all aggressive in the flower bed, and I could hear some squeaking, then I saw a frog jump out of the flower bed and hop across the lawn with the blackbird pecking it. I went outside and the bird flew off, the frog jumped under a very big bush so hopefully frog will be fine but the blackbird keeps coming back looking for it. Am a bit worried about the frog though, our garden is all fenced in and the only way out is under the gate, we live opposite a mere so I assume that is where the frog came from, I hope he or she can find their way out again and back to the mere. Much more of this and I'll have Chris Packham coming over to do some filming.

Maybe it was something that the frog said!
Poor thing.."nature" can be so cruel.
More Swifts around my locality this year than for a few years despite what seems to be reported nationwide.

Frog-gate! Poor beast. However, 'tis natural. I often think same seeing big birds shooing off the wee ones from the feeder in winter, or raptors, crows and smaller birds attacking / being attacked etc.

I saw a squirrel and a bluejay having a scrap yesterday. Also a chipmunk but it wasn’t fighting. All three were too small to fit in a fetch tshirt

Swifts seem to have appeared round here now; seem very late. And we have 2 cuckoos calling locally.

Jogging down to parkrun there was a Goldcrest on the path in front of me searching for food knocked down by the early rain i suspect. Not noticed one by that path before, never mind on the floor.

While getting diesel tonight I heard an out of place peeping. Looking round I spotted an oystercatcher perched at the point of the roof of home bargains. Not where unexpected to see it! We are at least 5 miles from any seashore, probably more like 8. Lough Neagh is a similar distance, and fresh water
