Blackcap in the garden at mum and dad’s. Then redshank, eider ducks and black guillemot down at the harbour.

Went back to my old manor this evening: Strid Woods at Bolton Abbey. Highlights included: pair of redshank, mandarin, several goosander, seemingly dozens of singing thrush, dipper, LTT, displaying lapwing and a tawny owl. No sand martin or common sand yet

Might've been then Steve. Loads of Shelducks and Redshanks on the Conwy river this morning. Loads of lovely little birds around the RSPB reserve after parkrun. I get mixed up, small bird, similar to a chiff chaff, but a slightly different song?

Avocet on my local patch at lunchtime, first time I've seen one here. Couldn't find any Blackcaps though. And after a mass exodus last weekend the Lapwings have started to reappear.
