Fragile Do Not Bend
Weirdly, I came here to post that I saw a leucistic blackbird in my garden this morning. Not completely white it, it had a patchy black and white head very much like the first photo on the link above. I got my camera out but it had hopped off before I could take a picture.

A few different spots on today's run. Eight Griffon Vultures wheeling overhead as we set off, definitely an incentive to keep moving! ;-) A flock of Alpine Accentors on the mountain summit, lovely little birds and keen to share our lunch. And then as we dropped back to the car we disturbed a Goshawk feasting on a pigeon lunch :-)

I'm waiting for "our" blackbird to come home for the summer - he has a white spot over his left eye and a couple of white feathers in his left wing - I'm not sure how old he is, but he's spet a fair few summers around my garden

It's developing nicely DT ;-) I'm sure the neighbours won't mind if I hang a carcass on my feeders for the Vultures 😀
