I've not seen any yet myself D2 but there have been several sightings on the reservoir over the last few days, so they're close to you. Lots of Sand Martins seen too.

Sedge warbler singing on my usual route this morning, first of year. Cetti's as well. Warblertastic indeed. I'm hoping to get a glimpse of a grasshopper warbler this year. As mentioned, I heard them last year but never managed to see one.

Also nice to see a song thrush hopping along in front of me. They used to be so common, but now much less so, which is sad. I hear them a fair bit, though, but then their song does carry a long way.

Its early yet for swallows here, over the last 40 + years they usually arrive week commencing 14th April, most frequently 16th or 17th! I have been outside listening but nothing yet :)

Squadrons of Swallows and Sand Martins feeding over the water by the Visitor Centre this evening D2. I reckon you could be on for an early visit this year, keep your eyes peeled :-)

Also spotted a Little Ringed Plover during my wander :-)

Lots of swallow here in Majorca, and virtually every one appeared to be flying North, which is nice

I was out sea fishing this morning before sunrise and saw an Eleonora's falcon flying above me. I love raptors (don't we all) and this was a majestic sight, very different but similarly exciting to the black vulture we saw earlier in our break :-)

Still not in my part of North Wales yet. Went up Snowdon today, wheatear and chiffchaff best spots. Saw something else, similar size to wheatear, currently going thru the Collins book trying to find likely candidates.

In other news, my new best Garden friends are Mr and Mrs Blackbird, sat here waiting for me to scatter seed, then I have to sit and wait until they get the best bits before the pigeons.

A buzzard circling overhead getting constantly attacked by greater (I think, bloody big anyway) black backed gulls. Nesting pair in next Road over I think, hence the angst.
