Definitely snowing, albeit lightly, in Keswick earlier today.

I am just back from a walk around the village. Here in South Lakeland it has been snowing since mid-morning, mostly lightly but occasionally heavier. Now there is lovely blanket of crisp snow over everything.

There was a clip on social media yesterday. Basically a dump of unexpected snow hit a small area and instead of moving on hung around the same place. Bit of freak weather.

Been a fair bit last night. Stafford (not the lakes) had a good foot.

Yep RH back home Monday 😢😢 won’t risk the drive around to Wastwater where we’d hoped to to be walking tomorrow tho 🤷♀️ Don’t blame you. Roads are lethal here at the moment. Lots of snow and slush which has frozen overnight. |

There was a woman on BBC radio said there was about a foot of snow in Ambleside. I'd planned to travel to Tebay yesterday, but decided against it. Good decision as M6 was closed between J37 and J38 because of overturned lorry. Hope everyone is safe |

We have friends who live in Faw Sawrey - they had 10 inches of snow yesterday and then were without power this morning

Feel like this might be a good place to ask this. SD wants hiking boots for Christmas. She has just got back from 8 weeks in South America and hers were not great for what she needed - she has had them for some time. Does anyone know where she can go to get them fitted? We are London/Home Counties. Do any of the chains do fittings? Thanks in advance.
