Leicestershire is lumpier than my bit of Bedfordshire - probably not a hill you northerners would notice though

I was trying to work out where the nearest place from me to find a reasonable hill was and discovered a reasonably local Fell Race

http://www.tringrunningclub.org.uk/coombe-hill-fell-race/#:~:text=The%20Coombe%20Hill%20Fell%20Race,is%20Sunday%2022%20August%202021.

Is it 29th March we're allowed to travel a bit further to exercise?

fozzy, yep there is, although it's really more trail than fell, except it's usually knee deep in snow when it's run, with ice on the descent. Really good little race.

Ros - yes Bradgate Park & Beacon Hill. I spent much of my childhood rampaging over those "hills" :-)

I like Bradgate park - middle boy spends part of each summer supervising students digging it up :-)

I've done that race a few times in the past but, like many other events these days, places sell out in about 20 minutes! I can't be bothered with all the hassle, so park up in Anstey and (when we can travel) run the route on my own with the added benefits of being both 'first' and 'last' in my own race ;-) (Definitely trail running, not really sure how they can call it a fell race but hey ho!).

Northern Exile
I was under the impression that there is a dedicated fell running club in Leicestershire.
