Just had official email confirmation from NT that all their campsites are shut until at least 30 June and cancelling our booking for the Windermere Marathon weekend which we had left live "just in case".

the view is fine - it was the approach to it that clouded my judgement. we tackled it head-on from Rowling End - not an easy task when you've got a boisterous dog on a lead

I know I'm not one of the regular posters here, but hope to be more in the future as I sort my retirement plans.
Anyway, I loved my trip up Causey Pike last August when the show of heather in the valley between CP and Outerside / Barrow was spectacular. The descent back down over Rowling End really sh*t me up though, particularly with a 9 year old boy in tow so I know where you are coming from R4R!!
