We have a cottage booked for a family break that was supposed to coincide with daughter's graduation in mid-July (which has already been cancelled). Balance is due at the end of May, so still time to find out what's going on but I'm not hopeful. |

R4R ...I think that could still happen. 74 days in a way off. It will be a different Cumbria..but if you’re in self contained accommodation..surely that will be ok?

Rosehip..what a shame for your daughter. I loved everything about my graduation ceremony. Well that’s not true actually...most of it was in Welsh, and that was wasted on me. But it was a very happy day.

That's appalling. In my area (south Lakes) the hillsides are surprisingly dry - mainly brittle brown bracken which feels is if it would give a rapid though hopefully shortlived burn
