‘Waited at a couple of feed stations’ = stuffed myself with crisps and coke and flapjack. ;-) Very nice running with you, Badger - not sure where the sprint finish came from, unless it was just avoiding the three women plus errant child in the finishing funnel! Weather was lovely and cool (and a little damp), so that definitely helped. Wasn’t feeling optimistic when I saw you at parkrun, Coachie - but what do I know? :-) Course best for me by about 20 minutes. Very happy.

This was the weather in the evening on the walk from Torver into Coniston. Bit different from the morning.

Great photo, often with the lakes, if you have patience, you will see sunshine during one part of the day. :)

NE spread his arms on reaching The Door, in the manner of demagogues such as Pericles and Cicero. :)

Ha, I like it. Keswick town Square is an unlikely setting for such drama though 🤔

I think NE may have shed a little tear on reaching the green door.

I didn’t bother with the steps, I just ran as hard as I could into the bottom door 😀

well done beebop, Badger and others who finished at Coniston yesterday.

Sorry I didn't see anybody to chat with properly (managed a few words with flanker and Kinky) - it was a long old day in the car park and managing traffic. The sun came out properly just as we'd finished packing up :)

Andy, thanks again for volunteering yesterday - it's a really long day for you all, not the nicest weather either, genuinely very grateful for you making it possible.

Beebop,I think that's my first marathon sprint finish - something to thank errant sprig for!
