The green door’s the one below (for me anyway). Not sure I’ve ever been up the steps

Thanks for the food recommendations. Getting very excited now.
This may be another silly question but as Keswick is a popular place are things like local butchers open all day Saturdays? (We like to buy local when we can)

Keswick has a market and is very much a working town. Shops are open for tourists and local types. It always struck me as a typical market town where rural folk gather apart from it certainly used to feel safer than many similar places of an evening

Yup, coachie, she was keen to break 6 hours as it's the cut off for the race (8 hours for the challenge) and did it very comfortably. Could have done it by more, she very kindly waited at couple of feed stations when I couldn't keep up with her descending technique!

The bloke that finished last weekend went up the steps to that door.

It still feels safer than mot places of an evening
Mum and I enjoyed the food at The Inn on the Square - although the service was a bit slow.
Keswick is a lucky market town in that there are enough tourists to "prop up" the local good produce market, you shouldn't have an issue buying local and then there's Booths

Can't remember the name of the butcher's near Casa Bella but it is good in my experience

And bar the hen stag parties Keswick is as safe as they come. In fact outside of Bank Holidays it can be peaceful.

Spot on Rosehip. In the boozy past we had some really fun nights in Keswick with fellrunning pals. The Loft always felt much safer than my local nite-spots
