I have only managed one night out, a lovely jaunt from Payhembury to Sidmouth along the ridge to the East of Ottery back during the July heatwave. Camped above Sidmouth on the coastal trail then slowly melted as I wandered alongside the River Otter back to Payhembury the next morning.
