Surelynot
I was looking forward to this, but Plantar 1 Surelynot 0. I was kidding myself on that I could manage this by 'resting between runs'. Fool. Good luck to everyone. |

Hello F'Lappers, I've built a first draft of the check in page, and I need your help to kick the tyres. fetcheveryone.com/flaps-checkin.php The main rule is that YOU MUST CHECK IN BEFORE THE END OF EACH HOUR. Let's do a trial run. For the next few hours, please pretend you've just come back from your run. You go to the link, choose the distance you covered, and press the 'Check In' button. 1) If you're one second too late, you're out (sorry). 2) You can start doing the full 4.167 mile laps if you like, but if you switch down to, say 5k, you can't then go back up. I'd mainly just like to check that it's all fairly self-explanatory, and that there are no glaring errors. Go check in before the end of the hour ![]() |

So we don't need to upload, just check in?

Yep. Obviously you'll get your uploads done at some point, but I wanted the initial reporting mechanism to be as simple as possible, and not reliant on import queues etc. Any stewards inquiry can delve into uploads ![]() |

oooo I've F'lapped. Plans have changed for the weekend, I've binned the planned marathon, so I might be able to do a few more slow F'laps instead. |

I will be the bad test case by checking in now but probably being too late for next hour. (Off for a swim and likely not out and dry in time.)

Just to check understanding - on Saturday, we won't checking in to say 'ready to go' at the start of each hour (like being in the pen at the start of a BYU) but, rather, confirming we're done before the end of each hour? More than happy for that to be the plan but don't want to (virtually) trip myself up before I start |

Yes, it's "confirming you're done" rather than "confirming you're starting". I will do my best to help folks out on the day, but I'll be getting stuck in too ![]() And hopefully this thread will be a place to share experiences as they happen. |
