Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes, I saw that HM time. Assuming injuries hasn't taken away her capabilities, a decent amount of improvement in form should be possible before the marathon. A bit different from where she was at before of course where the form was a there and it was just a case of getting race ready.

Keely Hodgkinson has been forced to withdraw from the Keely Klassic due to a hamstring injury.

Following her final training session before the event, Hodgkinson experienced some soreness in her hamstring.

A scan has since revealed an issue that means she will be unable to race on Saturday, raising questions about her ability to also compete at the European Indoors.

However, she hasn't given up on competing at the World Indoors.

Hodgkinson says: "I won’t lie – when I got the news this afternoon, I shed a tear. I’ve worked so hard for this moment and was in the best shape of my life.

"I’m absolutely gutted that I won’t be able to race for the fans, especially after so many have bought tickets to see me try and break the world record."

Roger Black (58) has had open heart surgery. He said that the issue was identified when he was 11 and has been seeing the hospital cardiac team ever since. I never knew that.

An amazing week of mens indoor middle distance running :

Grant Fisher and Cole Hocker both went under previous 3000m WR
Yared Nuguse new mile WR
Jakob Ingebrigtsen new 1500m and mile WR (in the same race)
Grant Fisher new 5000m WR

Has Nike released a new super, duper spike ??

I don't know about the others but Yared Nuguse was wearing OnRunning's latest spikes.

For the mile and 1500, I just think that these guys are close to the outdoor WR and the indoor records aren't as tough.

Agree on "soft" indoor records being taken down. A bit of a reset required. Maybe I'm doing fisher a disservice, but I don't have him down as WR material generally.
