Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Grant Fisher's indoor WR for 5000m is 12:44.

Obviously very fast but not even close to Cheptegei's 12:35.

This puts him on 11th place on the all-time 5000m list.

Joshua Cheptegei, Kenenisa Bekele, Daniel Komen, Haile Gebrselassie, Yomif Kejelcha, Jacob Kiplimo, Selemon Barega and a few others have run faster.

Fisher has now a better 5000m PB than Kipchoge and Farah.

Wins for Amy Hunt (60m) and Isabelle Boffey (800m) at the Keely Klassic. Good to see the latter after a disappointing 2024. Still not breaking 2 minutes but a confidence boost nevertheless.

I wonder what he will run in London (his marathon debut).
There is a vacancy for king of the marathon now that Kipchoge is over the hill and after the tragic death of Kelvin Kiptum.

Only a matter of time now before sub 2 goes. Sub 40 minutes for 15km on the way too.

Just watched the race on YouTube. He ran close to the lead car for the larger part of the race. I wonder how much the drafting helped him.

Is there a minimum distance set by WA that the lead car needs to stay ahead of the athletes so as to not offer drafting ?
