Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Found the WA rules, and the only mention of "lead car" is that it should be a low emissions vehicle.

Multiple posters on the letsrun thread mention that there's no rule on minimum distance that lead car needs to stay ahead

Wonder if they are the oncloud 10,000 spikes but with 20mm sole, not 25mm. I have just bought some and were told they were illegal! Obviously ok for domestic masters stuff..

There will probably be a few people with illegal spikes in races this year as many people bought those last year.

Yep obviously On will have to make new ones. Whilst Nike laugh to themselves...

Well I'll need legit ones for Torun next year, so they better make some new ones!

They'll have a prototype he's running in for sure which will be on this list (there's a couple of Cloudspike in Dev mode). certcheck.worldathletics.org

They made the spike in 2023 and the new rule was known in Dec 2021 so I'd be a bit pissed if I'd bought them without knowing. They highlighted on their website now but I didn't notice it previously and I looked at them last year (went for DF2 and V2 instead which is lucky). Clearly wanted the max advantage for their pros and needed to be publicly available for champs (they could have done a similar thing to what Adidas did with the Evo 1 though

They could well have been prototypes. The illegal OnRunning spikes are all white, but he was running in some white/light green spikes. I can't find a good picture right now.

This was the best pic I could find: images.app.goo.gl

They won't be the 1500 spikes as no one was wearing those previously but it isn't easy to link it to a spike on the WA list. Possible that the lost hasn't been updated with it yet (or the name isn't obvious).
