I ran this or the first time since July yesterday. The numbers have increased quite a lot with almost 400 IIRC. Just wondering if we need a 2nd Edinburgh venue sometime soon

They said on their FB page yesterday they had 391 runners so I'm sure they'll break through 400 soon. Can the route cope ? It seems ok to me, the path is wide enough

Yeah, it is wide enough and the only congestion was at the start and then the Qs at the end, which I luckily ran fast enough to avoid. I dont think the numbers running the route is a problem, is the number at the end handing in barcodes for scanning
My biggest problem yesterday were dogs, I had 3 x instances of having to take avoiding action. I know we should all be mindful of each others, but dog owners shoukld really have their dogs under their control....

Ran your lovely parkrun yesterday.... Smashed 400 runners, 425 I think...
Didn't seem congested to me and yes there's a wait for the scanner but that's part of the chatty part for me!
Met smout and happytimes.... Which was nice! I wore my fetch top and was nice to get shouts of go fetchie as murphy the jack russel n I made our way at the back of the field

Do any of you lovely people know how easy it is to get to this from the city centre? I am in Edinburgh for the weekend soonish and staying in Princess street, I won't have any transport and need to get back to town by 11.00 is it possible? if so how! TIA

Its maybe a 4 mile run there and back if you want an 11 miler
There are buses to Cramond, possibly a 41 but I am not sure - check Lothian Buses for the correct number and bus times...

Yes the 41 does city centre to Cramond and back. You might need to be a speedy runner though. Bus uns about every 15 minutes and takes 25-35 minutes depending on which end of Princes St you want!

Oh and don't forget we start at 9.30 up here if you're more used to English parkruns.
