I'll try not to trip anyone up!
Was it Edinburgh that the water didn't arrive at / was hijacked one year?

Water was, apparently, nicked in 2009. Temps hit high 20's that day too and the people running 4 hours or more had no water in the final stages of the race. Last year there was a headwind for the first 18 miles!!! Hoping for a calm day this year.

There's always some sort of drama at the Edinburgh Marathon whether its water, sunshine, wind, knob shaped medals, results not being made available.... but its a scenic, fairy flat and fast race with a great atmosphere and fantastic support in the Musselburgh area. I've not done it for a few years as I've tended to run the half so I'd like to think I'm looking forward to it

Son of a Pronator Man
You missed out my personal favourite, when a fox ( allegedly) chewed up the cable so that the big screen in the park did not work and supporters could not see their loved ones finishing.

The fox was presumably desperate in the absence of chickens. This year we have one, so it should be kept occupied.

I'm hoping to come along and cheer at you and chuck jelly babies and stuff. It's def a PB-able course, but I did warn you about possible headwind miles 18-26 FC! Downhill for first 6 miles is a bonus tho!
Anyone else fancy a mini, impromptu Fetchpoint this year? G

I'm doing the half again, did it last year and enjoyed most of it! Definitely a PB-able course as it's still my HM pb! Plus who doesn't love a weekend in Edinburgh
