Lol FC. Run in some of the lovely parks a bit further out of town rather than on the Royal Mile. It's like an M1 for pedestrians. Good luck for Sun everyone. Hope it's not p*shing it down with rain. Not much fun for us spectators either! :-) G

And I hope you weren't the eejit stood in the middle of the Royal Mile being filmed by his wife while I was trying to drive up it last night! Yes this is a real town full of real people trying to live real lives, it's not a Disney set, castle or no castle!

(Of course you weren't, you're a Fetchie and therefore not an eejit tourist.... ;-) )

Ha ha :) I promise I'm an altogether different eejit from the one you encountered! Took my daughter to the playground in West Princes Street gardens this afternoon and smacked my head on part of the play castle. Head still a bit sore after that stunt. I'm doing well...

I'll be a spectator for the first time at this (didn't heal in time to train) so I'll be looking out for Fetchies. The times I've done it I've been cheered along by some of you guys so I'm looking forward to Sunday rain or not, hope everyone has a great race :)

Met Office weather says you're going to get soaked on Sunday morning. And if you're an over 3 hours marathon runner, you're going to have a headwind all the way.

:-(

Based on last year, if it does rain, your finish line bags are likely to get wet (the lorries were offloaded at the collection point and the bags left out on tarpaulins). So it might be worth ensuring that, if you have a change of clothing in there, that you wrap it a plastic bag to keep it dry.

And for anyone using the local bus service (runners or spectators) the bus fare for each journey is £1.50, cash only, no change given. :-)
