I've just run the dullest race I have ever done, The Monklands Half Marathon. It was "don't want to finish" dull (though I did in the end).

Whilst I appreciate the efforts of race organisers etc ... :-o :-( . I have previously wondered why, for a race just outside Glasgow on fairly easy-profiled course, it consistently attracted such a small field. Now I know.

What very dull race have you done?

Other people like it, I think but I didn't like the Silverstone Half very much.

I think the Aberdeen 10k is a fairly dull route.

I found Monklands half ok a few years back do remember the big hill and does seem to attract a small field although 100 quid for first female came in handy: )

Oh, take it no one had ever warned you Dvorak :-( Drumpellier is a nice enough park for the odd run (except at peak dog/pram/granny walking time on a sunday), the Scottish Vets 'Snowball' race at just under 5 miles works but the half ... round and about and about again. NLC organise Monklands and dont market it particularly well which is a shame since if they revamped it the route it could have potential.

I don't know why, but I found the White Peak Marathon extremely monotonous until 24 miles, when it kinda gets a little bit interesting because you get to run down a big hill.

Vrap - White Peak is my favourite marathon!!!

The worst event I've ever done was a 5K race in Barnsley. It was grim.

Luton. I would rather nail my scrotum to a sheet of marine ply than do that again.
