East Kilbride 10k on a grey, drizzley day. If not dull enough first time you could go round the loop of roundabouts twice for the half. Now defunct.

Although it a very popular race (mainly due to its PB potential as its the only flat half marathon in Yorkshire!) I find the Brass Monkey half very boring. I only do it each year as its in our club champs and would never do it again if they took it out of the club champs.

The GNR is fairly dull, course-wise.

I suppose £100 would take the edge off a bit, May ;-). I quite like Grangemouth (despite it being, well, in Grangemouth) but I know quite a few people share your opinion of it.

EK, that was a tester. I would have welcomed a few of the roundabouts yesterday, mind.

Anyone else want to big down some dull races?

Milton Keynes Half (NSCPP version) that was dull, worst of all I forgot how dull it was and entered again the following year and found it twice as dull.

ps I think dull races depend on how shit you are running at the time.

Agree on the Grangemouth 10k. Dull, dull, dull. So dull that even though it finishes in a stadium, nobody can be bothered to hang around after the finish. And no cakes either. Its one redeeming feature was bumping into a Fetchie in the car park and being gifted some boerewors. :-)

British London 10k. Raises lots of money for charidee, so I guess that negates any perceived dullness, but the two times I did it I just found myself going through the motions.
