Mr GM has a deep fat fryer that he brought with him into our relationship. It has lived in a cupboard for over 17 years as we don't tend to deep fry food, but today he has restored it to its former glory! I bought Crisp and Dry oil and it will go back into the bottles after it's cooled for future use, as I predict this won't be the only time we make doughnuts,

Failed in my attempt to get donuts today. Queue prohibitive at M&S, Tesco and Co-Op. Made my attempt at a petrol station ‘Little Waitrose’, but nada, nothing in there donut wise. I had some cookies, perfectly reasonable in themselves but in this context unsatisfying.

The drought goes on.... :-(
