You've persuaded me to give them a go. I'll let you know how they turn out.

I love lemon curd and used to make it a lot. The woman that gave me the recipe is long dead. I still have it somewhere.

Lemon curd donuts sound awesome and I want. The sharp tang of lemon would I think be glorious in a donut and better than the ‘sweetness on sweetness’ of a jam donut.
I am now on a seek and discover mission to try them for real.

I would also be willing to give lemon curd a go, despite my usual aversion to anything other than jam as a filling.

Yum, I would definitely eat a lemon curd doughnut.
I really miss Tim Hortons Boston Cream doughnuts...custard filled doughnut topped with chocolate. Timmys' version is so much better than Krispy Kreme ones of the same name - the latter I find extremely stale/heavy and instantly regret eating it after the first bite. Such a letdown for me! Oh well, next time I'm in Canada...I should be there right now, but that's not going to happen this year.
