Here's one for people who really are just waiting until it's time to clock off ;-).

The Bank Of England has published a set of free lesson plans, intended to help 11-16 year olds make informed decisions and understand how their decisions will influence the economy. Bank chief Mark Carney also wants to demystify the workings of the BOE and to draw a wider range of people into the study of economics.

Based on this, the Financial Times has put together a short quiz: ig.ft.com

Have fun :-).

Hmmm, 7/8.

In idle moments I have thought that I would like to get a degree (having left school at 18 after a less than sparkling performance in my A-Levels); it would probably be something like Economics, or Politics, or something based around an interest in anthroplogy / geograpy / statistics.

Increased demand, price goes up, lower demand, price comes down
scarce product, price goes up, too much product, price comes down.

Give me that degree.

I'll do the quiz now.

8/8

Probably/possibly, maybe not, because I have a degree in Maths and Computing and an MA in Sports Science.

8/8 because I'm like WS, McGoo and larkim. Am rubbish at maths but good(ish) with money - taught by my mum!

My result says I'd be packed off to do at least a GCSE course before thinking about a degree.
