In my Duolingo blog last month, I wrote how I've been learning Spanish for over a year (thanks to McGoohan for introducing me to it) and recently introduced Norwegian. I've found Duolingo to be well structured, easy to use and varied, and I'm confident enough with the set up that I'm hoping to go on to refresh my Swedish and Danish.

I've gone a bit mad today and have got 340/30 ...and it's only twenty past eight.
Anyone bother with the bonus skills?
I HAVE done a few tests and a couple of word strengtheners.
I also didn't go outon my bike as I was too busy clicking and typing and warbling in Spanish.

I am so rubbish at languages but am expected to teach primary school French. Which often means putting on a video as I'm too embarrassed to have a go with fluent French speakers in my class. I started duo lingo last night and am now 1% fluent in French! Am going to try and stick with it too and hope I retain something!

IS anyone doing the word strengtheners and tests? I tested prepositions today.
Am I ever going to need to say (in Spanish) 'the cat is sleeping on top of the monkey.' I haven't got a cat, let alone a monkey.

I just did a strength exercise. Apparently I'm 2% fluent in German however I had to say Ich bin ein Mann, that's funny. my Spanish is not great, my German pronunciation generally gets all green, my Spanish not as good.

I splashed out on buying the gold tracksuit for my guide at a bargain 30 lingot cost but did also go for bonus modules of idioms and chat up lines (separate modules) at 20 each

I'm a bit worried that Duo looks a lot like Jimmy Savill in that gold tracksuit top and shades.

Right. I've now done Basics 1 and 2 of Danish. The pronunciation of Danish is pretty difficult though - I think I'll have, if I keep this up, a much much better understanding of written Danish.
