Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

And apropos of my last post I have yet another newt. I have just visited a website called discoverkale.co.uk which apparently is 'the home of kale.' I am quite sure I have never visited this website ever before. Who knew one could do so much with it?

One might also ask, why on earth would anyone want to do some of these things with it ;-) ... although I am tempted to have a go at chocolate kale brownies... they might be tomorrow's newt

I'm in a town I've not been to before and, instead of ordering a safe option I've had before I have ordered a roasted squash and blue cheese risotto. And I don't even like blue cheese!

I think we are fellow fans of the black bean brownie, Baroness... but kale sounds a step too far. I await further developments. Or not.

Second and third newts: I picked the first rhubarb and purple sprouting broccoli of the year today. Neither were quite ready, but fuckit, I'm impatient, they were there!

I am intentionally watching Ferris Bueller. I've seen bits but never from start to finish. QP loves it and needed cheering up. So we are watching together.

Baroness, we had kale muffins at school and they were ok! You might not need to hide your kale in cake though... Not today's newt jingle - it was last week. One of my chicks had a newt jingle though as it flew from one side of its plastic box to the other.
