I'm sorry I haven't really contributed much on here, it's been a grim old spring for me. Hopefully next spring will be better!

I've also been a feeble newtineer this year. I'll try to do better next year.

That's alright, both.

Here's to your summers being interesting and full of (good) surprises.

I think we all fizzled a little towards the end.

I got a newt fitness tracker yesterday. I've never had one before. It does lots of useful things. I don't think the step count is terribly accurate though. 15000 by lunchtime.

That does sound a lot unless you did a long dog walk? I can rack up 10,000 by lunchtime if I do four miles with Jess.

I haven’t been very adventurous this spring but I did go out and buy a new pair of “skinny jeans” today with my birthday money from my Mum. Don’t think I’ve ever bought skinny jeans cos didn’t think I had the legs for them. They look ok though. :)

My newt today was going to be visiting Colchester United's ground for the first time to cheer on the visitors the mighty Hatters. At the moment it's just past half time and I am glad I didn't go because unless we suddenly turn things around it would have been a fairly miserable experience.
Does mean I have to find another newt though.....

I did do a dog walk of probably 4 miles or so. That did rack up quite a few but it was already on 8,000 by the time I left the house.

:( re Hatters!

Planted some appropriately sized pond plants in proper baskets & compost today. Pond is tiny and have so far failed in my mission to make it a wildlife haven. Have high hopes!!
