My newt today is that I have received in the post two purchases from Etsy shops which is the first time I have used Etsy! One was two face masks from the lovely HellsBells of this parish and the other some change of address cards.
Both ordered Sunday, both arrived today - excellent service and I'm thrilled with both.

I know many people hate crocs but I still love them, I don’t own a pair at the moment (snd they are just great for camping) but I live in crocs flip flops as soon as it’s warm enough!

I think I might stop work in a minute and cut the grass for the first time this year.

I'm back at the seaside now and had a quick tour of the garden and greenhouse to see what has occurred in the past six days.

Lots!

In the greenhouse seedlings aplenty almost ready to be planted out: new cavolo, chard, 'provencal mix' (salad leaves) curly kale, Sweet Peas, two varieties of tomato, chili peppers, parsley... probably more I can't remember. Little green shoots are so, well, CUTE! Raffo says the temperature needs to group by two or three degrees (ooh ooh ah ah precious moments)

And the garden is bursting into life, buds and new growth everywhere.

As per I looked for baby bunnies from the train (yes I am obsessed) but as per not a sign.

There were however BANKS of primroses all along the line from Sevenoaks to Hastings.

And I discovered form the above ^ that jelly (are you insisting on lower case?) is a fellow ex art student. As well as formerly living in Hastings.

Can’t remember if I got round to posting but I found my birds never got used to the window feeder when I tried it. My window is high and exposed and I suspect the birds might prefer lots of cover close by. I actually got more slugs which I found quite impressive on a 2nd floor window!

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
