Hann - it's a first floor window. Swallows nest in the eaves above it and in the eaves of the house next door so I thought they might find it convenient. They don't seem to have started their nesting yet though. Thanks, jda. I think I might leave it for a while longer - you never know.

badges are good!
I've been chatting to someone who was in my 1st club when I moved north. Not spoken for ages but got talking over triathlon.
Turns out he's jobless thanks to Covid and yesterday one of our team said they were moving teams so I was able to say "sorry you are out of work .. but hey what about this job!"
Which was nice

Never mind writing in my diary - I have just actually booked three track sessions here at the seaside - Next Tue, then Thu, then the classic Sunday morning session. CAN'T WAIT.

Sharkie! You are positively Newting today
As is everyone else it seems...
I have had my Newt evening Nordic walk. Managed to get 45 ish minutes in, 4 kms, with the newt poles, working on my technique. All after 6 pm
Now cooking a curry... not newt,
But very newt: we have an amazing display of primroses every spring on part of the castle ramparts and for all the years I have lived here I have never actually photographed them as I am usually either on the bike or in the car going that way on the road. Today I decided to do half my walk on tarmac, so I could work on technique properly and stopped to take a photo of the primroses.

Sarah, try putting the feeder on a ground floor window, see if the find it and if so, then move it up? I used to feed the birds before I got the cat and it took weeks to find the normal feeders on the fence outside the window...
