They look soooo good Hann! The facetime curry lesson sounds fun! I saw a patient today whose wife cooks the most amazing smelling curries, dahls etc. I was doing a mealtime assessment so was essentially watching him eat, complete with homemade chapatis. Looked and smelled glorious

My newt is inspired by Linds- I've submitted a membership for FERC. It'll be my only club- never joined a running club before.

Yes, Cath, I would say so! They were so amazing!

Interestingly, I haven't craved fish for all those years, but suddenly I did. I have also just started running, well, run walking, again... and the body told me it needed these. Interestingly, it didn't tell me it wanted anything all week, when I was feeling the lurgy, so I have eaten very little and now this, when out food shopping in the market! I must be needing it :) They were delicious!

I love cooking, your prawns reminded me of living in Oman the fish counter there was amazing. We have a great fish market close by but I never go it’s a bit intimidating from memory

I started eating red meat again when I was pregnant with ds1, I now eat pretty much everything though I’m still not keen on mince, which is why I gave up red meat for 20 years!

I have a fabulous fish shop near me, my only problem is since covid the queues have been nuts. Apparently lockdowns make people go crazy for good fish and seafood!

We've got an excellent fish shop too, despite being a landlocked county. I should really use it more

That fih monger stall was amazing! The queue was twice round the block a few weeks ago, when I first learnt about it... I can see this Thursday morning market day becoming a regular occurrence. Last time I had this 'takeaway' meal from a restaurant trying t stay afloat while not being allowed to open. It was lush. There is a good cheese shop there as well and all sorts of other excellent local food producers. Interestingly, I think I would do quite well with my vegetables I reckon, as my produce is at least as good if not better than what was on offer there. I also scored a bottle of organic, unpasteurised apple juice.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
