Mike - yes I think it's best that I come along to keep an eye on him! I'm also really looking forward to being back on support duties and seeing everyone :-)

You're right Minty, only three weeks to go now. You can tell my training plan is obviously spot on if I'm adding in extra weeks...

Last long run today (I hope) along the route. Was simply stunning in the sun and its days like that where I wish I could take non-runners or road runners with me and show them what they're missing out on. The fact we can be in that sort of scenery within a couple of hours of Edinburgh still blows my mind.

I see Johnny Fling has taken this race over and immediately announced 3 important changes that many runners have moaned about in the past :-

a) Car support is no longer mandatory
b) Water will now be supplied on the route - BoO, Glencoe, KLL, Lundavra
c) 2 drop bags can be handed in for Glencoe & KLL checkpoints

Great news, the car support had put me off doing this in the past. Tempted now for 2015

What are other folk doing about the back-up requirements?
You must have a back-up vehicle (car, 4x4 if you have one (not required though!!)...
Who fancies a fantastic day out in the beautiful North West of Scotland on the legendary West Highland Way, supporting the lovely Sophster? Team of 2 would be best: a driver/sandwich maker and a runner/Muller rice opener. Eternal gratitude, fetchie fame and gold and jewels will be yours. (*)

It's Sat 7 August. Come on Fetchland.

* I may have lied about the gold and jewels
