There's some charlatan with a Scottish name talking in London today, urging us down here to persuade you up there to vote against independence, on the grounds that independence would diminish the UK's clout in the world. Considering the many disasters that we have visited on various parts of the world in recent centuries, please vote for independence, for a safer world. |

I am just watching BBC breakfast and they were talking about that. I find it funny that Cameron will refuse to come up here and have any proper debate about it but he'll ask other people in England to try and persuade us! It's a bit like saying to your friend "tell him he's X" to pass on since your not speaking to them. The likes of Cameron and his "Operation fear" amp agin will be part I the reason I vote yes anyway. |

I heard similar on the news this morning. It occurred to me that if Cameron was directly asking me to do something because it suited him, I'd be inclined to do the opposite. So if Dave really does want people to vote no, he should probably stay well out of it

I confess to having advised my parents to vote yes and then relocate over the border.

Dave Cameron says it's for those living in Scotland to debate and decide. Except that he and the rest of the tories will fund a labour fronted campaign, and talk to everyone and anyone EXCEPT the Scottish Government or the people here. I'm not sure why they thought using the exact same arguments as they used against devolution in 1979 which proved to be entirely wrong, would work this time round. So now that they've realised that the fear and scaremongering tactics don't work, it's time to about turn and tell everyone that they were lying about us being a subsidised nation within the UK and that they don't just need us, but WANT us to stay. The thing is, we're not going anywhere, and we'll all still be pals and family. We'll still be right here as part of the British Isles, but with a government democratically decided by the people who live here, delivering policies that suit our part of the world, and not the City of London and the SE in general. If they REALLY loved us, they'd let us go |
