Was there any mention of it being the last DD? Or is there still hope?

Phil has retired now, teignbridge trotters may carry on with the race but they never gave a definate confirmation on saturday. It'll be a sad day if this race is left to die off.

oh no. I'd have crawled that last three miles if I thought it was my last chance! I reckon I will run it again anyway, whether it's official or not ... there are plenty of pubs along the way to refuel at.

With Phil retiring I don't think it will be the same, especially if his sidekick Jim B goes too. His comments on the mic on Sat were priceless.
Reckon that was my last DD.

Me too, I might be wrong (and hope I am) but I got not that positive vibes from the Trotter's club captain.
I'm still chuckling about Jim Baileys' comments about that poor lady....."If you were married to her you wouldn't need a dog".............LOL

No, she was really insulted about it Paul, I tried to tell her it was only a joke but she wasn't too happy about it.
