I am o.k. now, although still feeling a bit strange. I'm sure I'll be o.k. in the morning. I didn't eat much yesterday, thinking about it, and this probably didn't help.

Well done all....:-) *jumps up and down with pompoms*

Sorry you didn't feel great BW....i know you will doubt yourself about DNF, but having done it myself, i know that the hardest decisions can often be for the best and you will come back stronger and wiser next time....trust me (even if you don't know me...which may sound odd!) :-)

Bloody hell BW, sounds like you had a real toughie yesterday.

I hope I saw all of you on the course, as I couldn't run it I was on the 21 mile mark dishing out jelly babies, sweets, water & coke. I have to say that the humidity was the killer for most people yesterday, still up there as the best road race in the country. The discovery rocks:)

Up bright and early this morning and I can still walk, in fact might consider a small run either tomorrow or Tuesday. Not sure when I'll do another ultra, but it is a case of when rather than if :-).

Sorry to have missed the awards and disco- had three bored children one of them determined to jump off the climbing frame and land on his head and then be spectacularly grumpy for the rest of the day, and also the small matter of a party back in Liskeard to get to. Did anyone catch the male teams, I think Teignbridge Trotters won, but my own club East Cornwall Harriers was in with an outside chance of third, but I'm not sure we had any representatives there to see (because of the party!)

If anyone one wants to sample (or indeed bring it all back to life for those who have had the pleasure of running the DD) then I can only recommend Chrisull's blog. Great run, great blog.

Hope you're feeling better BW.

Really enjoyed the DD this year, as ever, and rather liked the warm sweaty weather. It's not many people's bag but it suits me. Some cracking times around, and especially well done to Loca. And the disco was great, from what I can remember.
