Mrs S, I think my height may appear to hide the fact I am carrying a lot of lard!!!

The registration is in a marquee and I think it had a heater. I was going to suggest the Winter Gardens but not sure if they would be open that early. As long as you don't get naked you are allowed in there 😉

Thanks mrs s, I'm assuming the registration marquee wouldn't be large enough, and is not intended, to fit 200 runners in !

Just googled Winter Gardens, and they look like they'd be ideal if they were open !

Who would complain about seeing a few nude runners?! Not I. Better than nude dart players. Prudes.

We're all runners, we've seen more naked flesh and bodily functions than your average civilian.

However any public and inappropriate nakedness will result in deep heat/itching powder/iced water/naked flames being applied to the offending area.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks. Admit it, Duchess, if, for example, a certain elite ultra runner from Skye was displaying too much flesh in your line of vision, would you complain/usher him to cover up?

Anyway, back to the serious stuff. How on earth is anyone supposed to train up to 33 miles this early in the year? There just aren't enough weeks available to build up the distance.

So getting bored with trying and failing, I've decided to enter a half marathon this coming weekend, trying to inject a bit of "speed" work instead. Variety is the spice of life, 'n all that.

Any other updates forthcoming?
