I've moved this season - point at the River End as opposed to square leg at the Hayes Close End - so from one end of the pavilion to the other.The three people who talked incessant bollocks all through last summer are back, so I've moved.

The teams that take part in the university match are bona-fide Cambridge & Oxford university students, whereas the Cambridge team that plays against the counties is mostly sports science students from Anglia Ruskin, many of whom have come from the counties on scholarships, represented England at junior level and will go on to play professional cricket. The days of getting into Oxbridge simply because you were a good cricketer are long gone. So the teams which form pre-season friendly opposition for the counties are likely to be stronger than the teams which play in the varsity match.
