Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notts wrap up the match against the foppish scarf wearing punters. 7 wickets for my protégé...

Very pleasant couple of hours, warm sunshine and a surprisingly strong Notts line-up. For these fixtures, you never know whether it will be the county 2nd XI or a line up with half a dozen test players.

Also managed to get a reasonable amount of work done between overs without the interruptions of colleagues and the distraction of teh interweb.

Making his first class debut (I think) was one Akil Greenidge son of former W.I test player Alvin Greenidge. Like nearly all of the Cambridge MCCU team, he's a student at Anglia Ruskin rather than Cambridge University.

I hope Jimmy Anderson is playing for Lancs, who are here on Sunday.

How is Samit doing? I saw him on his ODI debut and have rated him. Just the lack of fitness holding him back

Samit bats at least as well as Moeen and is a more effective bowler. Shame his face doesn't fit (to be fair, it is usually buried in a kebab)

I also think he is seen as one of KP's boys.
Still, England's loss is Notts gain

Think the last time I was at Fenners was the time I was treated to Cook, Panesar and Tymal Mills. He wasn't that accurate that day, but quick? The keeper was practically standing on the pavilion steps. I was really pleased to see him popping up in the T20 side.

It seems I missed a memo. I thought I was going to the ECG later. Turns out it's now the Cloudfm County Ground. I'd love to know how much they paid for the naming rights. And whether they just took the money out of an ATM in High Chelmer.
