For my sins I'm chairman of my son's cricket club. Been up there this morning helping start work on the ground rolling the square. It took us an hour to get the roller going and it was then stuck in reverse, but then it's not the newest of rollers!! (son took over rolling after I'd done an hour or so )

I have just had a guided tour of the brand new B3 Cricket premises in Nottingham.
A team of ex Gunn & Moore folk making bats from English willow, nice show room and just installing an indoor net so you can "try before you buy". Very impressive.
I'd never heard of these guys until yesterday, when they asked me for a quote for some POS boards for their showroom. Now I know that modern bats can set you back £500 (glad I retired when I did). I also know that many top players, including Ben Stokes, Stuart Broad and Gary Ballance, use these bats but put their own sponsors stickers on.

Good knowledge Nico. I did know about the sponsors stickers thing tho, that is so naughty, especially if the kids are buying the bats off the back of it and then not receiving what they think they are.
