He's not suggested that his 'pin me on the crease and trap me lbw' footwork is now completely behind him either. There is a tendency (not on here, I think, but with the public at large) to consider everyone either 'great' or 'rubbish.' Ballance is certainly a very good player, but not in excellent form and I'm surprised that one of the several other 'possibles' wasn't given preference.
