Ballance is there to perform the Graeme Hick/Mark Ramprakash 1000's of country runs/in and out of the test side never quite making it role....
As for TR-J, I reckon he's in because the selectors quite liked the thought of someone called 'Toby' in the test side, sort of sounds traditional and right. He could be the new Alan Mullaly ffs...
