Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Today looks an attritional one in the field, however. ABdV and Amla set, pitch offering nothing. I think we'll nick a draw....;-)

TRO is clearly imagining a nightmare scenario where they score 659, have us 27 for 8, finally bowl us out for 125 and win with two sessions to spare.

Even Adelaide 2006 wasn't that bad (we declared on 550 odd and started the final day ~100 ahead with only one wicket down, if I recall correctly.)

Believe I'm correct in saying that no-one has ever lost a game of cricket having scored over 600 in the opening innings.

Those dropped catches might turn the game into a draw, but I'd say an England win was still the most likely outcome.

Anyone remember playing at the last ground in this selection in their youth?

No but I've spent a lot of time at Wormsley, home of the Getty's when a mate's dad worked on the estate and sent down a few overs of medium pace in the nets.
