Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've been following English cricket for too long. Any celebratory thoughts now banished at the thought of what the Aussie attack will do to us on a pitch that seems to have changed completely.

3 down by lunch?

Ah, the negativity returns.

I'll stick with my prediction from Thursday.

Doesn't seem to be swinging much for Johnson and Hazelwood - and Starc is limping around the place.

Hazlewood has beaten the bat a couple of times, definitely got the ball swinging in a bit to Cook on a couple of occasions too. It's England's game to lose from here though.

Beasty's just played a really odd shot. Hope he settles.

Read something funny, the YCCC view of their role in the England team is akin to West Ham and England's World Cup 1966 win.

More than 50 years since England lost a home Ashes test after getting a 100+ run first innings lead.

:-)

We just need to survive Starc for a bit - he seems to have run off his ankle problem, and is shaping them away lovely :-)
