His dad turned up for one game which was very exciting) and Ali Brown in scratch matches for Beckenham CC when they were desperately trying to get him to join (he used to ask for a guard ‘outside leg’ and was the most destructive player I’ve ever witnessed). Pretty sure I also played against David Sales at one point as well. That Croydon schools side also had Jamie Moralee who went on to have a half decent football career.

I had annoyed him by scoring runs. I've also played against Tresco and Jack Leach and with Jake Lintott (Warwickshire franchise man, bowls left arm back of the hand).
